FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS AFTER SPRAYING?

Our materials require 30-60 minutes to dry. Once dry, they won't be washed away. If it rains within an hour of application, we'll promptly respray your property.

  2. HOW BAD WILL THE TICK INFESTATION BE THIS YEAR?

While each year varies, all signs point to another heavy tick population this year.

  3. DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT DURING THE APPLICATION?

No, most of our clients lead active lives and aren't always home. If you're away, ensure pets are indoors, windows are closed, and gates are unlocked.

  4. HOW LONG DOES THE SPRAY LAST?

In most cases, our applications last 21-30 days. For optimal tick and mosquito control, we recommend treatments every 21 days.

  5. WHEN CAN I LET MY DOG OUTSIDE AFTER SPRAYING?

Once the property is dry (30-60 minutes), it's safe to let your dog out.

  6. HOW DO I DETERMINE THE NECESSARY SPRAYS?

We prefer sending our arborist for a property visit to assess and inventory the plant material. Based on this analysis and your input, we'll suggest a tailored program.

  7. HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN YOU'RE COMING?

We will always notify you the night before a scheduled visit via call or text. After treatment, yellow placards will be placed, and a label and receipt left in your mailbox.

  8. WHY SHOULD I SPRAY MY PROPERTY?

Protecting your landscaping, which typically represents 10-20% of your home's value, is crucial against insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Spraying ensures their care and full potential.

  9. WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY ARBORVITAE?

Although traditionally resilient, arborvitae can now suffer from arborvitae leaf miner. We specialize in arborvitae restoration.

  10. SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THE SPOTTED LANTERNFLY?

Yes, they're active in Nassau and Suffolk County this year, infesting various trees and vineyards.

  11. WHAT'S AFFECTING MY PURPLE PLUM TREES?

If you notice black growth and bark swelling, it's likely black knot fungus. Pruning infected branches and implementing a fungicide program is recommended.

  12. WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY BEECH TREE?
